March 3rd is Hinamatsuri (Girls' Day) in Japan. It is a day to celebrate young daughters and pray for their health and prosperity. Families display ornate hina dolls on tiered platforms and peach blossoms to purify and ward off evil spirits. They eat special foods like chirashi sushi and sweet rice cakes. It's a beautiful tradition. But real women aren't dolls.
The Truth About Being a Woman
The hina dolls are exquisite, perfect, unchanging. They sit serenely on their platforms, always composed.
Real women are nothing like this. We're complicated. We shift and change. We have days when we feel powerful and days when we can barely function. We contain multitudes: strength and vulnerability, clarity and confusion, all while navigating bodies that constantly cycle through hormonal, emotional, and energetic shifts.
Being a woman means managing pain, mood swings, anxiety, and fatigue, sometimes all in the same week, while pretending everything is fine.
So when I think about Girls' Day, I think about honoring the complete reality. The soft one. The fierce one. The tired one. The one who holds everyone else together.
Every version of us deserves celebration.
The Cyclical Reality
East Asian medicine has understood for thousands of years that women's bodies aren't static. They're dynamic, constantly adjusting to internal rhythms.
During the premenstrual phase, as blood collects in the uterus, the smooth flow of qi, blood, and fluids gets disrupted. This causes headaches, fatigue, pain, brain fog, digestive issues, and insomnia. It also creates what we call a "tense liver," making us emotionally tense and brittle, less resilient, more reactive.
When qi stagnates, it's like a psycho-emotional traffic jam. We experience bloating, breast tenderness, and irritability. All of this is physiological.
Supporting the Real You
What if we actually supported our bodies through these natural cycles instead of pushing through and feeling judged?
This is why we created the Biatch Pack. MOODY BIATCH, SCARLETT GRIPPER, and ANXZILLA.
MOODY BIATCH: Clear the Traffic Jam
Gets qi, blood, and fluids flowing so you're not backed up and blocked. Addresses irritability, bloating, digestive issues, breast tenderness, sleep disturbances, and all the things that wreak havoc in the premenstrual phase. When circulation improves, the Liver chills out, gets nourished, and becomes supple again, able to bend and flow.
SCARLETT GRIPPER: Release the Grip
Menstrual cramps aren't normal. Pain meansl that blood isn't flowing smoothly. This formula promotes circulation in the uterus, relaxes abdominal muscles, and reduces cramping, especially when there is thick or clotty blood. Your period doesn't have to be debilitating.
ANXZILLA: Hold the Heart
In Chinese medicine, the Heart houses the Shen (spirit), like a flame illuminating how we see the world. When that flame flickers, we can't see clearly. We question every step. Everything feels threatening.
ANXZILLA soothes the spirit, nourishes the Heart, and helps you feel secure and grounded. It steadies the flame.
A Girls' Day Invitation
Real celebration isn't about being perfect. It's about being seen, fully, honestly, in all our complexity.
This Girls' Day, honor every version of yourself. The one thriving and the one barely holding it together. The fierce warrior and the tender heart.
You deserve support. You deserve formulas made with care and understanding.
Happy Girls' Day to every version of you.
